GREYMOUTH TROTTING CLUB. (To the Editor.) Sir.—Being- a ‘‘sport” and a visitor to this town I naturally found my way to the 'Greymouth Trotting Club’s track. The track itself appeals to the visitor as one on which good times should be recorded. The inner grand stand is a great credit to the chib, but the outer stand is a disgrace that should not exist for another day. The filthy state of the seats, floor and railings, is simply awful, owing to birds perching on the rafters. After spending many thousands of pounds on the beautiful inner stand, surely the. club has a ‘‘tenner” to spare for lining fhe outer with half-inch wire netting, and leaving no gaps that birds can get through. 1 am etc., I BUTTINSKI.
