PETAIN’S ADVENT
IMPROVES MOROCCAN POSITION. (Received August 10 at 7.5 p.nr.) (Reuter.) PARIS, August 10. “The horizon is clearing,” says Marshal Petain's report, on his tins sion 'to Morocco. He describes all tlto events since the first Riff attack The Marshal speaks of “the strong, skilful,- bold, well-equipped, mobile frugal Riffs" against which it hn s been only by their remarkable tenacity and devotion that the French troops have held, the Fez-Taea road to Algeria.
The Marshal emphasises' that the in. terior of Morocco is still loyal to France. A t-i unbilled action, he says, is now being prepared to drive out th P enemy, and to re-establish the French authority.
