The claim by Harry Mandoll, under the Workers’ Compensation Act, 1923, disclosed an interesting position in ownership responsibility, which was set out in the reserved judgment of Justice Ostler, -entered to-day. He held that under Section 57 of the Merchant Shipping Act, 1894, the claim took priority’ over mortgages on the vessel, on which the accident occurred.
