OYER £1,000,000 SAVED. The Meat Producers’ Board, in conjunction 'with the Dairy Produce Control Board, entered into a contract for shipping freights for a period of three years fro i November l-s-t r 1921. The reductions secured by this contract represent an annual saving to the meat producers of the Dominion of £120,000. The reductions in shipping freight obtained by the board since its incepton may be set out as follow:—Frozen meat, 1922-23, £575,000 saving; 1923-24 £164,000; 1924-25, £120,000; tallow and pelts, 1922, £108,000; total saving, £967.000. l.i addition the board secured a reduction of dairy produce for 1923-24. representing a saving of £161,730, this being before the Dairy Produce Con-' trol Board was established.
