LES MURRAY v . reg TROWERN. A GOOD FIGHT. FORMER'S CLOSE CALL. WELLINGTON, August 3. Les Murray 9.7$ outpointed Reg. Trowern 9.7 J in a fifteen-round contest for the New Zealand light-weight championship to-night. It was a vigorous fight, in which the champion d splnyed fin P form. Over iho early Trowern connected with a solid right in the third round. Murray went down for seven, and he just managed to weather th? round. Up to the tenth round it was a ver.even bout, but Murray then got into his stride, and he made play with both hands, particularly with a left ■h'cpk.
