RUM RUNNERS

A BRITISH FLEET GETS THERE. NEW YORK, July 27. A moto-sliip, steamer and schooner, all large rum runners, flying the British (lug, were sighted off Tannor Batik on July 20 by the coastguard cutter Vaughan. It is believed that most of the liquor cargoes were successfully cached in the islands off the Californian coast. Two of the vessels have departed for parts unknown. The third is tied up forty miles southwest of Sa.i Diego.
