CROWNING OF THE SWIMMING BATHS QUEEN. A well attended meeting of the Swimming Baths committee was heel last night when preliminary arrangements were made for the holding of a Grand Movie Ball in llie Town Hall on .July 28th next. Similar funet’lins have been held in Auckland. Wellington and Sydney, and have been huge successes. Ihe Movie Balls, as they are popularly known, lend themselves admirably to magnificent costuming and the innovation is sure to “catch on" in (.reymoutli. A feature of the occasion will be a grand coronation ceremony, when the winner of the recent Queen ’- ;,r--i nival, Miss Dorothy McKay will !>• crowned with all due pomp and ceremony. Miss McKay will also be presented with the (mlilen Key, an'l suitable presentations will be mailr to her consorts. Further details v.” be duly advertised.
