WILL HE RETIRE? WELLINGTON. June 16. Information has been received; in Wellington that Mr T. K. Sidey, who represents Dunedin South in the Hous? of Representatives, will *not be a candidate at the next general election. Mr Sidey is front ,e 3ench Liberal, and has been regarded as the first lieutenant of Mr Wilford. When that leader has bec*n absent, Mr Sidey has been left in charge of the Opposition. LATER. Advice from Dunedin is to the effect that the report previously telegraphed re Mr Sidey’s retirement from politics is incorrect.
