Deceased at one time resided at Kotuku and Ranieri, was for some time employed by Messrs McLean Bros. Ltd.,. He was a brother of the late Air E. J. Edwards, Chief Clerk of th e State Collieries, Dunollie. At St. John’s Presbyterian Church yesterday morning, the marriage took place of Air Richard R Hall formerly of Kotuku, and Aliss Agnes Rosjna Peillon of Brunnerton. The ceremony was performed by the Rev. T. N. Cuttlo. The honeymoon is to be spent in Dunedin. News has been received by Rev. Bro. Tarcisisius, of Alarist Brothers’ School, of the death of his father, at Christchurch at the age of 70 years. The Rev. Brother left yesterday for Christchurch to attend the funeral. Much sympathy is felt for the Rev. Brother Tarcisius in his sad bereavement. He will now accompany the Earl of Read, ing, who will leave for India about July 24. The funeral of the late Mr Peter Nelson, who died on Sunday night at the age of 90 years, took place yesterday afternoon. The cortege comprised besides the relatives of deceased, members of the Old Boys’ Association, and Greymouth Waterside Workers’ Union. A short service was conducted in Holy Trinity Church by the Ven Archdeacon Carr, who also officiated at the graveside.
