(Special to Argus.) WESTPORT, April 21. Your correspondent was shown over the new machine workshop of Mr. Sam Mclntyre, of Upper Palmerston street, when Mr. Mclntyre had just completed 60 table and chair desks for the infants department of the State School at Westport; also 30 for the Sisters of Mercy Convent at Westport, anid 30 for the Reef ton school. They are very strongly made, and very light. They are made from the choicest of red pine have a beautiful finish, and are nicely variEshed. When not- in use the little chair fits very nicely under the table desk, and the two pieces of furniture take up very little room. They will, no doubt, find a ready market in the homes of the little ones as they can serve a very useful purpose. Mr. McIntyre deserves credit for his enterprise with his new factory, being a native of this district. We wish him The Westport To Kuhaj (or Buller Gorge Railway i s looking quite smart now.
