MANSLAUGHTER CHARGE. I’Hl-: GORK TRAGEDY. GORE, December 1 I. The adjourned inquest on Donald Uanieron who died after a fracas on tin* road near Gore on December 1. was held to-day. Lengthy evidence was given by John .In nor, who was engaged in a light With (’ameron ininiediately prior to the latter’s death. Upon the advice of his solicitor, lie made no further statement anenl the occurrence. In accordance with medical testimony, Hie Coroner returned a verdict that Cameron died as the result of I'aeniniorrliage of tho brain, as the result of injuries received while fighting with John Ju nor. Junor then appeared before the lofnl justice on a charge of manslaughter, and was remanded on hail till Tuesday. OAMARU TRAGEDY. TIMARU, December 11. At the Magistrate’s Court. John Holmes appeared on remand charged with attempting to murder his wife at Oamaru, on November 2nd; and also with attempting to commit suicide A turther remand to December 18 was granted, Mrs Holmes being still in the I ospital.
