THE WEATHER.
AVELLINGTON, July 24. The forecast is that present indica tions are for variable breezes, moderate to strong south-westerlies to southeasterlies ruling. The weather will be cool and fair to cloudy generally, but unsettled at times in the southern districts. Tho barometer will probably fall temporarily in the south, but is due to rise again everywhere soon.
