ENGINE DRIVERS.
WESTLAND UNION'S SPECIAL MEETING. A special meeting of the above Union was held in the Lyceum Hall, Greymouth, yesterday. Mr. C. Quinn (President) was in the chair. The delegates appointed to meet the Coal Mine Owners gave their report if the conference, which took place between the Union and the coal owners. The forthcoming Conciliation Council proceedings were discussed, and Messrs 11. Lawrie, J. O’Brien, and J. Goodall were appointed to represent the Union at the Council, which sits in Greymouth on Friday next.
