MAGISTRATE’S COURT.
, (Before Mr AV. Meldrum, S.M.) There was a short sitting of tho Magistrate's Court yesterday. WANDERING STOCK. Leitch and Jajnes Jardin were each convicted and ordered lo pay costs, for allowing stock to wander. CYCLING WITHOUT LIGHTS. George Anderson was fined 5/- and costs for riding a bicycle at night without a light attached. SUNDAY PICTURES. Arthur Bcban, manager of I’eerless Pictures was lined £1 and costs fur keeping open the Town Hall on a recent Sunday, for the purpose of transacting business. AFFILIATION. Norman Weir was ordered to pay .1.2/6 per week, from July 25th, on a maintenance, order in respect of an illegitimate chihl. AFTER HOURS. Four first offenders, for being illegally on the licensed premises of tire Kokiri Hotel were convicted and ordered to pay costs. For similar offences in respect of the Empire Hotel, Waiuta, a first offender was convicted and ordered to pay costs and a second offender was convicted and fined 5/- with costs.
