GRANITY CONTRIBUTIONS. The Granity Russian Famine Relief Committee is for the present disbanded. The following additional amounts haxe been collected: —T. Aliiler, Ngakawau, £7 4/-; W. Richmond, AFillerton, £3 15/-; W. DockreU, Granity, IS/-; balance from football match, 9/-; total, £l2 G/-; expenses tickets, etc., 11/-; balance £ll 15/-. The sum of £ll ’ 15/- has been sent I direct, to the Secretary “Red Cross’ Society. Order of St John,” Welling- , ton, by the Chairman, Air John Dow- 1 gray.
A bye-eleetion for the Gower Division of Glamorgan (rendered vacant through the death of Mr John Williams, Labour) resulted as follows: Mr Grenfell (Labour) 13,298. Mr Williams (Coalition-Liberal) 9841.
