RONA ENQUIRY.

SHIPMASTERS DISAGREE WITH COURT. AUCKLAND, July 19. A meeting of ship masters and officers unanimously passed a resolution disapproving of the Court 's finding in regard to Captain Wallis in the Rona inquiry as against the weight of evidence and having effect of throwing an absolutely unreasonable amount of responsibility on all masters. The meeting affirmed that, having carefully followed all the evidence, at was considered that Captain Wallis was absolutely free from all blame. A further resolution was passed, expressing appreciation of the manly way in which Mr Grantley (chief officer) acted at the inquiry and took all the blame for the casualty.
