Mr Nelson jfeeliingly replied, expressing the regret of his wife and himself at leaving behind so many friends, among whom they had spent happy times. They invited anyone present to look them up on visiting Dunedin. Messrs Edgen, Nelson, Eggleton, Williams, and others contributed musical and elocutionary items, and a very happy 'evening ended with the singing of “Auld Lang Sync” and the National Anthem.
