TASMANIAN APPLES. LONDON, July 10. The Sophocles has arrived with Tasmanian apples. The cargo is in fair condition. There is a good demand; quotations being:—Stunners 24/- (a few at 16/6); Cleopatras and French Crabb 12/6 to 14/-; Five Crowns 12/6 to 13/-; New York Pippins 14/-; damp apples 6/- to 11/-. WHEAT MARKET. LONDON, July 10. Wheat cargoes have declined 6d to 1/- owing to weak American advices and the erratic European exchanges only. The v,d..ar The only bid recorded is 51/- for an Australian passage, for which 52/- was asked. WAIHI SHARES. LONDON, July 10. Waihi mining shares are quoted at 26/3 and 28/9. METAL MARKET. LONDON, July 10. Metal quotations are:—Copper (spot) £62/18/9 a ton; forward £63/6/10J; lead £24/3/9 and £23/7/6; spelter, £2B/5/- and £2B; tin £154/11/3 and £155/6/3. Silver is 35.78 pence per ounce. LATEST EXCHANGE BATES.
