REVISED BUILDING PROGRAMME TO START NEXT YEAR. (Received June 6, 8.10 p.m.) TOKIO, June 6. The newspaper “Mainiohi ShimLun” reports that a modification has been approved of in the Japanese naval programme providing for the following vessels: — Four 10,000 ton cruisers. Four 7000 ton cruisers. Twenty-four 1500 ton cruisers. Twenty-eight submarines. Two aeroplane carriers. Fourteen special duty vessels. The 32 cruisers will carry eight-inch guns. Their construction will start in 1923.
