A.W.U. MANIFESTO.

AN OBNOXIOUS AWARD. SYDNEY, June 2. The Australian Workers’ Union has issued a manifesto directing shearers to refrain from shearing, except on the basis of the Queensland terms, which the union demands under its fighting policy. The manifesto states that the union considers Mr Justice Powers’ recent award unjust and inequitable. The Union has exhausted every possible means to reach an equitable settlement, but on each occasion, was repulsed by both the Commonwealth Aribtration Court and the Pastftalists’ Associations.
