BRITISH IMPORTERS’ PROJECTS. [A. and N. Z. Cable Association) LONDON, May 19. A meeting of the National Federation of the Fruit Trade Associations discussed a variety of matters affecting the apple trade. It was decided to address complaints to the shipowners and the Port of London Authority regarding the slow discharge of cargoes. The meeting appointed a sub-committee to /onfer with the- insurance brokers to try ami find the equitable basis for fixing an average of sound value for each diipment. The meeting also discussed i proposal to popularise Australian and \’ew Zealand apples in London, and the • rincipal provincial cities, by means of »i<t <»r'::i I posters at a cost, of .£6OO for me month, it was suggested that all receivers charge -Ad per case on account L>f sales to meet tho cost.
