A native of Cornwall he had been 67 wears in New Zealand, following mining, and was for years caretaker of rhe Afont d’Or race at Ross. He leaves a widow. Air and Mrs Rodgers, of Blackball, leave by this morning’s express on a trip to tip Old Country. It is their intention to ultimately settle in British Columbia. He will spend a few days at AVestport on route to Tauranga. Afurchison is believed to be the first place, in Now Zealand where ladies have been elected to the A'estry of an Anglican Church. Alesdames AS. A\ atson and T. AlcEarlaue were elected to the Vestry of St. Pauls Anglican Church, Alurchison recently.
