IN “DESPERATE CONDITION.’’ SYDNEY, May 5. Representatives of the Producers Association pressed upon Sir G. W. Fuller the desperate condition of the cattle industry which they declared was faced with ruin. They asked for a reduction in railway freights by 50 per cent., to the abolition of price fixing in regard to meat, an improvement in the present wasteful loading methods and standarised offieal gradinn ' shipment of inferior quality Sir G. W. Fuller promised his earliest consideration, stating that he realised the present position meant ruin. 1 ‘ The Government was determined to do all; possible to keep the producers on thi land, and was also determined to reduce taxation.
