INSURANCE POLICY AUCTION [United Service.] LONDON, May 1.

A strange gamble on the life of a man who is at present in prison, with a fortune at stake, will be held on May 24, when the Official Receiver will auction the insurance policies of Thomas Farrow, one of the directors of Farrow’s Bank.

If Farrow dies within a year, the purchaser clears £80,000; but if lie lives for 20 years, only a few thousand, the annual premium being £3OOO. Farrow is aged 50 and in good health.
