Mr. Al. Molan, of Kopara, is at present on a visit to Greymouth. Air J. A. AlcDonald addressed a very large Wellington audience last Sunday evening, and speaks again in that city next Sunday. Air Arthur Linnemann, who with his wife and family has been on a visit to his West Coast relatives, leaves on Tuesday next on his return to U.S.A. Air. Vic. Lawn, formerly of the local Post and Telegraph Staff, is at present on a visit to Grcymouth renewing old 1 acquaintances. Latest news of Bishop Cleary (Roman Catholic Bishop of Auckland) who is now in London, states that there is a marked and steadily-continued improvement in his health, and specialists state he will completely recover. Air Jenkins who has been relieving Air Pullen as foreman of the local Railway Workshops, returned to Petone yesterday. Air Pullen has returned from his two month’s holiday and has resumed duties. On Wednesday afternoon Aliss V. Hannan, who is shortly to be married, 1 was tendered at kitchen tea at the residence of Airs. J. Hambleton, Puketahi Street, when Airs W. F. Harley and Aliss Hambleton were hostesses. Air Kos Skogland returned to Greymouth last evening after spending a fortnight’s holiday in the Kopara district. Mr Skogland seems much improved by his holiday, and proclaims Kopara as the best hunting ground in the district. Incidentally a large bag ( of game formed part of his baggage. On Tuesday night a very pleasing function took place at the Greymouth Railway Sheds, when, during tho supper hour, the Loco staff assembled together for tho purpose of making one of the associates, Air Hill, a presentation on the eve of his marriage. The gift consisted of an oak eight-day clock for Air Hill and a handsome silver butter dish for the future Mrs Hill. In a few chosen remarks Air Kearns and several other speakers were unanimous in wishing Air and Airs Hill health and prosperity. In a breezy acknowledgement of the kindly sentiments expressed, Air Hill on behalf of his future wif-e, and himself, thanked the donors for their handsome presents, which he would always cherish in kindly recollections of his sojourn amongst tho boys of the West Coast.
