MISS HOEFT’S NEW WORLD RECORD. GISBORNE, March 30. At the swimming carnival here tonight, Miss Pauline Hoeft, participating in the 150yds scratch r<?ce against local champions, won by half a yard in lmin. 52 l-10sec. This was announced as beating the previous world’s record for the distance by ladies by Usees.
