SCULLING.

WORLD’S CHAMPIONSHIP’S HADFIELD AND PADDON IN TRAINING. WANGANUI, Barch 30. Hadfield and Paddon arc training steadily for the race for the world’s i sculling championship, which is to be row*ed on the Wanganui River on. April 18. The weather has interfered somewhat, but both men have done solid work both on water and on land. Paddon is still over weight but Hadfield is in the pink of condition. Both covered the full distance today, pleasing their respective parties. Much interest is being taken in the race and many enthusiasts visit the course daily. The sculling committee, at a meeting last evening, decided to issue an I invitation to the Governor-General, the | Premier and the leader of the Opposition and Sir Joseph Ward.
