DESERT GOLD IN GREAT FETTLE

A big gathering witnessed the final gallops. The weather was nue and the tracks fast. All work was done ou the. course proper.

Destrt Gold was the centre of attraction, when the great mare made her appearance on the track. She looks a picture and is moving very fiee. Her task was seven furlongs which was cut out in 1.30, the first half mile taking 50 3-4 sees.

UicK: Meagher took 1.46-} for a mile,

Almoner covered a mile and a quarter in 2.17.. Kilmoon accompanied Almoner over the first mile, which was left behind in 1.50.

Gloaming (O'Connor) finished a length ahead of Biplane at the end of six furlongs, run in 1.19^. Neither were ridden out.

Bee was responsible for ten furlongs in 2.18£ and Cagounine furlongs in 2.1.

Finmark beat Killowen by three lengths at the end of seven furlongs in 1.31 3-4.

Wolaroi beat East Court and Kilbarron easily over a mile in 1.46. Estland took 2.15 i for 12 furlongs.
