The number of bodies found north of Laffaux proves the heaviness of the enemy's losses in the recent fighting. The Germans on the Vesle . front thrice counter-attacked our positions in the Glennit region, but/Were repulsed with heavy losses. Six enemy aeroplanes fell on tlie 16th. Bombing squadrons dropped ten tons at night on enemy stations* h'vouacs and aerodromes despite a ragmg tempest.
