SEAMEN'S WAGES.
DEMAND FOR INCREASE,
DUNEDIN, September 18
All the shipping companies have now received communication from the Federated Seamen's Union asking for a conference as early as possible to discuss the aclvisablity of increasing by 50 per cent, the wages of the crows on overseas vessels, exclusive of Australian ports, and 75 per cent on all other ships.-
