V\e obtained many direct hits on the railways, especially that of Metz-Sablon-Coiucellcs. We caused several fires in Meta, Kaiscrlaughtcrn, Saarbrucken, nnd the Preecaty aerodrome. Three Biitish Machines did not .return. On the morning of Sunday we again attacked the * Metz-Sablon railway triangle, and scored many direct hits. Enemy scouts were active. We also bombed Buhl aerodrome, after which tliree British machines were missing. We also bombed the Daimler works at Stuttgart .on Sunday, with good results. During this raid we encountered twenty hostile aeroplanes, of. which we destroyed two. All, the British ma- ' chines returned. We dropped 27 tons j of bombs in 24 hours. I A. French communique stales: — Fine weather on Saturday permitted consideiablc aerial activity, There were • very numerous and severe fights, in , which 14 enemy machines were '■ brought down, and seven balloons set on fire.
