RUSSIA

PAID GERMAN AGENTS.

THE BOLSHEVIKS DEED'S,

(Australian and .N.Z. Cable Assn.) (Rec Sept. 16, 7 p.m.)

WASHINGTON, Sept. 15

The Committee of Public Information has published' documents proving that Lenin and Trotsky and their associates are German agenAs, and that the German staff arranged for the Bolshevik revolution, wliitn was linanccd by the German Imperial Bank and others. German army . officers sgeretly were received by the Bolsheviks and allowed to spy on. the Allied Embassies. Doseh Fleuret, writing from Stockholm, says: The United States Consul Pooic was ariested at Moscow, and accused of being implicated in a plot to bribe the Lettish troops to abandon the Bolsheviks. This was absurd. Long before I left Russia the Letife told me they were unwilling to fight against tiie Allies because they were against the Bolsheviks, and would help them to regain the Fatherland irom Germany. There has been the closest co-operation at Moscow between the Allied and American officials, the Bolsheviks f'utilely trying to/ break up the solidarity of the Allies by : causing illfeeling between them.
