AMERICA PUSHING AHEAD. WASHINGTON, September 14. Americans advanced on both sides of St Mihiel. A considerable force of French is attacking in the centre. The Germans resisted a little in one district, but 3,000 surrendered after the briefest fight. Considerable bayonet fighting occurred.
