WELLINGTON, September 14
A special cable from the New Zealand Government's official correspondent in Egypt, reporting on operations in, August, states the New Zealand Brigade returned from rest camp to Jordan valley on the sixteenth of August, remaining in reserve . and training. The men and horses are in .fine fighting form. General Allenby presented the ribbons for honour, and congratulated all ranks on the splendid work done. The summer operations in the Tbrdan valley were- the most trying time of the campargn, the temperature often being up to 120 degrees. It was seldom below a hundred degrees.
