A POLLARD PRODUCTION.
Mr. T. Pollard announces that on Monday and Tuesday he will present in the Opera House one of his oldtinio spectacular ballet marches (performed by 24 Greyniouth young ladies) as a feature of the splendid entertainment to be given. A charming and artistic study of the classic ballet will be given by Miss Ruby Wilding, who will arrive from Christchurch this evening. This premier solo dancer will be seen in "The Bacchandian Dance" and! ' ' The I>ance of Anitara. ' ' Writing of Miss Wilding's performance a critic is as follows: "The premier danseuse was of course Miss Ruby Wilding, and upon her nothing but praise can be bestowed. Her dancing was the poetiy of motion." Coloured lighting will play a big part in the marches and ballets. New scenery and dresses have been made for the production which promises to be a bright and clever one. Miss Chunn, Mr. Ivan Wilson and Mr. O. M' Lean, Caledonian pupils, take part in the singing and dancing and spectacular items. Gilbert's clever 2-act dramatic contrast will be performed by Messrs M Bush. M. Wylde, and Messrs E. Moss and Len McGlashan. The full orchestra will render the accompaniment and the music incidental to the displays.
