LIVELY ARTILLERYING.
(Rec. March 7, 8.5 p.m.) LONDON, March 6. A French communique says there is lively artillerying at Lapoinpelle and the Vosges. -±Ma& (Ree. March 7, 11.50 p.m.) LONDON, March 7. A French: communique reports reciprocal artillerying in the regions of Corniney and Rheims. Last evening enemy: raids on our trenches from Avocourt Wood to the north-west of Hill 344 wore everywhere stopped by our fire. To-day there was intermittent bombardments of our lines in the region of Avocourt and north of Douamont. Marshal Haig reports: Enemy ' artillery, is more active at ( st. Qucntin, Bois Grenicr, Oambrai. and Ypres. We bombed railway sidings north-east of Lille, uiui brought down three aeroplanes. One of ours is missing. Night fliers bombed Ingelmunstor railway station, and the aerodrome at St. Quentin. All returned. (Rec. March 7, 11.15 p.m.) LONDON, March 6. Reuter's correspondent writing from American Headquarters in France says American troops occupying a new see- r tor on the French front in Lorraine repulsed German raiders, inflicting losses.
