i LIEUT. COMMANDER SAUNDERS V.C. TRIBUTE FROM ADMIRAL JELLICOE. (Rec. March 7, 11.54 a.m.) LONDON, March 6. Admiral Jellicoe, in a speech at Liverpool, said the late Lieut Commander Saunders who was awarded the Victoria Cross, was one of the greatest ( heroes of the war. The story of his ! exploits 'was not yet written to New Zealand where the gallant officer belonged.
