POLLARD'S
. .. "THE HIDDEN VALLEY" Tongas: Mademoiselle Vaikyrean the celeorated .Danish Beauty will be featured for the last time to-night m the big Kider Haggard story "The Hidden Valley." On WEDNESDAY EVENING. Florence La Badie will be seen in the wonderful story of "The Pillory" The play is bated upon the divine saying "He that is without sin amongst you— let him cast the first stone." It is the old story of intolerance once again and shows what anguish narrow-mindedness and bigotry can bring to those who though repentant labour > under the' stigma of a past sin,' for the social pillory is more cruel than the pillory of ancient time. A stern grim character in the play is that of Old Deborah who, in her bigotry conceives it her duty to cast down the proud. Florence La Badie is splendid as the girl heroine. A strong cast of supporting artists including Yale Benner, have given a powerful rendering of the great , original' drama for the camera to photograph.
