WHEELBARROW DAY.
THIS AFTERNOON'S PARADE. The principal attraction will be a parade of barrows at 2.30 .£>.r_. Mustering at the Town Hall, they will parade the principal streets exhibiting their wares to be sold. Many business firms in town have promised barrows, so that each will be specialised in say, foodstuffs, wearing apparel, smokers' requisites and the original features of the parade. The younger folk are asked to compete in the children's section, a prize to be given to the best decorated Billy-cart or (barrow. Considerable interest is being taken in Wheelbarrow Day and the committee guarantees an excellent display. After the grand parade, the barrow-keepers will take up different positions •in the town, and the public will be given the opportunity to "buy them out." EarliSr in the day young ladies will sell buttonholes of choice flowers that should find a ready sale. The object is to raise funds to help to provide medical necessities, etc., for our boys at the front through the St. John Ainbulanc. and Red Cross Society.
