PROTESTS AGAINST STOPPAGE

LONDON, .May 14. Influential meetings of the horse breeders at Tattersall's Club protested that the stoppage of racing meant grave damage to the industry. They asked that the matter be decided on its merits not by prejudice and demanded that enough racing be allowed to test the merit of the horses so as" to maintain the high quality of thoroughbreds.
