RICCARTON TRAINING NOTES CfIRISTCHURCH, October 30 The conditions were favourable for training operations at Riccarton this morning. Ringform beat Rorke's Drift over a mile and a Quarter on the plough in 2.13. . i'oki was lame after a working gallop. A large number of horses were on the tracks, but all were given light tasks. - "■""•■■'■.■■ •F. Davis has arrived with his t^eam, comprising Desert Gold, Balboa, Egypt, Beltan, Tete-a-tete. Marco Bello and Etsland. Other arrivals include Ladify, Sweet Tipperary, Pourparler, Simonides, La Tasse, Skyscraper and Elocution.' SCRAJCHtNGS. Wrestler was scratched for the Stewards' Handicap on Friday. Trials was scratched for the Stewards' Handicap, at 12.20 p.m. to-day. The result of the Self-Denial effort in this district has been most satisfactory. The net amount collected was £224, showing an increase of .£66 over last year's figures.
