FRENCH ADVANCE MAINTAINED. WELLINGTON, This Day. The High Commissioner report 3 from London tunder date of London, December 28th (4.50 p.m.) : In the Vosges there is intense activity of artillery on the whole front. At llartmansweil.erkopf, on a sloped hill at Kehfoisen, an attempt of the enemy to leave his trenches was stopped by the .French curtain of fire. The G<vrmans state that the French advanced early this morning to Hilztein.
