A MYSTERIOUS SHOT
FIREMAN INJURED. (Per United Press Association.) WELLINGTON, Oct. 16. The circumstances under which Martin Beharrie, a fireman on the Ulimaroa, was shot in the left; hap ' on Tuesday night are being investigated by the police. Beharrie with two companions,' went on board the vessel and at or about the time of their reaching the deck, Beharrie was wounded in the hip by a revolver shot. , He says tihat he knows of^abbody who would willingly injure him, "and both his companions absolutely' deny having been responsible. ' Beharrie, who, as stated in the Post yesterday, was removed to the hospital, is doing well. A man was arrested this afternoon and will be charged 1 in the morning 1 with unlawfully wounding Behatrie.
