INQUEST PROCEEDINGS. ;Pe r United Press Association.) - Body of man named T. A. Atkinson j formerly a fitter in S.S. Tarawera was found no the river bank this afternon There were stains of a well known dsinfectant in the mouth and a half -filled bottle of the same fluid was in the pocket. At the: inquest to-night JessieAtkin son his wife, said that her husband drank heavily and was cruel to her, and she left him on Tuesday last. .Sh obtained a separation order and ;£i per week maintenance. " A niece said that the man had bene depressed since the court -proceedings. She saw a bottle in his hand, but he would not tell her what was in it. A verdict that the man: committed suicide by taking poison was returned.
