FURTHER CALL TO BE MADE

An Auckland correspondent states that a reconstruction scheme in connection wJth the Ross Goldfields to be proceeded -with immediately. It is proposed to write the present shares down ro 1 8s. and call up another 2s. per share a month which will enable the company to enter upon further necessary development, work and matters will then be placed on a much better financial footing. It is understood that the proposal is the result of Mr. Cock's recommendations to the Annual meeting. Mr. J. Cock, the Ross Goldfields Ltd Superintendent arrived here on Wednes day from Auckland where he attended the Annual Meeting of the Company. Mr. Geoffrey Turner, who had been actings'uperintendent durmp-tMr C^ck'* absence, returned to Hokitika an Wednesday, and .proceeded overland to Christchurch the following day enroute for Sydney.
