MYSTERIOUS ACCIDENT. AUCKLAND, July t
Ernest Austin, engineer of the steamer Makarini, fell down a hatch "f the vessel, a distance of 36ft. He is now in the hospital unconscious, with a badly fractured arm, injuries "o the face, and internal injuries .vhich it is feared will prove fatal, lie was found this morning at the bottom of the hold by watersiders who were Unloading the cargo.
