SUICIDE.
CHRISTCHURCH. July .1. A[ man, named Robert. Hale Jr single, ai^ed 60 ■ years, committed suicide this corning by hanging. For the last fourteen weeks he had been boarding » : th Mrs. Burt' in Acton Street, off Montreal Street. He was last seen. at "\ o'clock this morning, and shortly "f'-er midday his body was found hang in? from a hook near tb.p window of Vi.'<? bedroom at the back of the house. The man left a note announcing 1 h ; s intpntiqn of doing away with himself and diriectinjr thnt his property should be left to his sister. ,
