OBITUARY

WILLIAM DONNELLAN

By Telegraph. — Special to "Argus."

REEFTON, July 1. The sad news was announced at 6 o'clock this evening of the death of William Donnellan, of Nelson Creek. Deceased was under the doctor's care for the past six weeks. The last two weeks very little hope was held for his recovery. His mother and brothers arrived in Reefton and remained close by all the time. Deceased was favorably known and highly respected. He was a favourite and prominent figure in racing circles throughout the Dominion and for a gjreat number of years took an active interest in alliuvial mining. I Deceased was only forty-one years of age at the time of his death. ' The funeral takes place from the Brian Boru Hotel, Greymouth, at 2 o'clock to-morrow.
