By this morning's express Mr. Geo. Cray returns to Timaru, via Christchurch.
Mr. O. D&vies rejoined the ArahuTa as chief officer at Wellington on Saturday. Mr. B. Wishaw, third "officer, signed off the vessel's article.
Mr. J. Bevin, local traffic manager, leaves this morning for Auckland, where he is to act. as relieving traffic manager for a period of about three months. Mrs. and Miss Bevin will proceed to Auckland next wek<\ During the absence of Mr.- Bevin, Mr. Evans will act as local traffic manager till the arrival of a relieving officer.
CaptainHender, who has been on holiday, lias rejoined the Kowhai as master. Captain Stewart, who has been relieving him, is ashore at Wellington awaiting instructions.
Mr. and Mrs. Geo. Salt and family leave by the express this morning for Timaru where they will in future make their home. Mt. Salt last evening was presented wiht a handsome travelling rug by his many Greymouth friends who over a social glass bade him gQodbyc and prosperity in the future. Mr. Salt feelingly acknowledged the compliment.
Captain L. G. Silba ip. still in command of the Otaki, with Mr. C. K. Paris as chief officer, and Mr. E. Hanson second. Dr. H. L. Widdowson, is ship's surgeon, Mr. J. Williems, chief engineer, Mr. J. Robertson' chief refrigreating engineer, Mr. F. F. O'Halloran wireless operator, and Mr.'H. Willis chief steward.
