A SECRET BALLOT
RE NEW WATERSIDERS' UNION. (Per Press Association). — 9 DUNDIN, June 20. , Th'c Dunedin Waterside Union held a secret ballot on Thursday on the questions submdtved to it by the Federation of Labour. Tlvd questions practically asked the local union whether it was prepared to take any action to. fight against the recognition of the Timaru Waterside Workers'Union which has been .registered under the Arbitration Act. The ballot papers were counted this afternoon, and though it was decided not to|,make any public result of the vating-*ri'fc»is understood that a cons'darable majority of the workers voted against any action being taken, in th^ meantime. .: .
